Sunol, CA About Us We are a newly opened neighborhood café in Sunol serving specialty coffee, light snacks, beer, and wine in a relaxed and welcoming environment. We're looking for a friendly, dependable, and hands-on Café Host & Team Member who enjoys interacting with guests and helping create a great customer experience. This is an active role where you'll be involved in all aspects of café operations—from greeting customers and preparing beverages to maintaining a clean, organized space and supporting daily service. Responsibilities Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive customer service. Take customer orders and process payments using our POS system. Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, snacks, beer, and wine. Check IDs and follow all responsible alcohol service requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting café environment. Restock supplies, snacks, beverages, and merchandise as needed. Assist with opening and closing duties. Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs. Follow food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines. Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth daily operations. Help create a warm, community-focused atmosphere for guests. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old. Previous café, coffee shop, restaurant, hospitality, or retail experience is preferred but not required. Friendly, outgoing, and customer-focused personality. Comfortable working independently and taking initiative. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Basic cash handling and POS experience is a plus. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds. Willingness to obtain and maintain California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification. Availability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as needed.
