Job Description
Host / Hostess Chateau is seeking a warm, polished, and hospitality-driven Host to join our team. As the first and last point of contact for our guests, the Host plays a vital role in creating exceptional dining experiences and setting the tone for service. We are looking for individuals who are personable, organized, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining grace under pressure. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival. Manage reservations, waitlists, and table assignments using OpenTable. Answer phones and assist guests with reservations, inquiries, and event information. Effectively communicate wait times and manage guest expectations. Maintain an organized and efficient flow of seating to support service operations. Escort guests to tables and provide menus. Assist with guest requests and special accommodations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entrance, restrooms and waiting areas. Support dining room operations by assisting with menu updates, restroom checks, and light administrative tasks. Collaborate closely with management, servers, bartenders, and support staff to ensure seamless service. Qualifications Previous restaurant, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Professional appearance and polished demeanor. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to remain calm and composed during busy service periods. Experience with reservation platforms such as OpenTable is preferred. Strong attention to detail and guest-focused mindset. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
