Maintains and builds a strong sense of community, integrity, and brand for all who visit the hotel. Embodies outrageous hospitality. Acts as the first point of contact for guests during check-in and assists with any issues guests may experience during their stay. Performs guest check-ins and check-outs and acts as a front desk host. Helps guests in building itineraries for delightful Colorado Springs experiences. Willing to learn and become fluent in PMS systems, POS systems and task management software. Takes food and drink orders from customers accurately and with a friendly attitude. Has knowledge of the menu and has the ability to make suggestions. Ensures guests are enjoying their meals and takes action to correct problems. Collects payment at the point-of-sale station. Helps prepare food and drink when necessary. Maintains a professional attitude of teamwork, cooperation, communication, and accountability. Maintains meticulous attention to detail throughout the work shift. Commitment to performing daily duties e.g. opening, closing, and side work. Has basic cleanliness skills to clean up spills, broken glassware, etc. immediately. Willingness to report any issues to management that cannot be addressed immediately. Stays highly organized, professional, and has good communication skills. Maintains cleanliness of hotel lobby and retail area. Develops a thorough knowledge of the hotel room amenities, type of rooms, services of hotel, menu offerings, etc. Maintains relationships within the community and has knowledge of local information in regards to restaurants, shops, clubs, salons, trails, gyms, car rental agencies, shuttle services, outdoor recreation, area attractions, etc. Serves in an administrative support capacity. Promotes the property within the hotel, travel industry, and local community; excellent at networking. Performs other duties or special projects as assigned by Leadership.Must Haves:
Positive and friendly attitude. Flexible schedule (mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays included). Committed to outrageous hospitality and guest service. Excellent organization and time management skills. Embodies teamwork and a willingness to go above and beyond. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain standing for an extended period of time.Experience and Qualifications:
Previous hotel reception experience is desired. Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system. Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and deliver orders in a timely manner. Demonstrated success in a customer focused environment. High School diploma is required. Knowledge of Colorado Springs cultural + outdoor recreation opportunities preferred.Additional information:
