Job Description
Colorado has always been on the frontier of homegrown, homemade and handcrafted. At the Ale House, it's in everything we do, from making our food to choosing our beer to mixing our cocktails, sourcing locally whenever we can. We are looking for a guest focused Host / Greeter to make a great first and lasting positive impression with our guests. As the first person the guest sees when they walk through the door, the Host creates a welcoming and friendly environment. Host Job Duties and Responsibilities Greet guests, and if needed, confirm reservations, take reservations, and track occupancy chart for the restaurant Answers phone calls and provide basic information on reservations, availability, restaurant hours and services Take orders over the phone and pack prepared take-out orders Keep track of the waiting list and open tables; monitoring the flow of the dining room and taking note of which tables are ready to be sat, which tables are being bussed and which tables are coming close to closing Assign tables to guests depending on party size and Server availability Accurately quote wait times to guests Alert and call guests when the table is bussed and cleaned Escort guests to table and present food and drink menus Answer guest questions regarding menu items; recommend or suggest items as needed Observe and assists in preparing unoccupied tables for customers by cleaning and sanitizing all surfaces and removing debris Assist with restaurant side work and opening and closing duties Other duties as assigned by management Job Requirements and Qualifications Available to work a variety of shifts to include days, nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays Friendly "people-person"; polite and courteous to all guests Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks Eager to learn and grow within the restaurant Physically able to wipe down tabletops, chairs, and booths; able to pick up debris from floor; able to carry 25 or more pounds; able to push vacuum or mop Able to perform basic mathematics Physically able to stand and move during the length of shift; able to bend and kneel through shift Benefits are offered to employees after a waiting period.
