THE ROLE
Butchers & Bakers is seeking a highly organized, hospitality-focused professional to join our team as an Events Coordinator & Host . This position offers competitive hourly pay plus commission opportunities tied to private event sales. This role combines private event coordination, guest communication, and host stand responsibilities. The ideal candidate is exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, professional, and enjoys helping guests create memorable experiences. You will be the primary point of contact for guests inquiring about private events while also serving as an important member of our front-of-house team. Success in this role comes from staying organized, communicating professionally, responding promptly, following through on details, and creating a positive experience from the first interaction.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Welcome, seat, and assist guests at the host stand Help create a warm, welcoming first impression for every guest Respond promptly to private event inquiries via phone and email Answer phones and assist guests with reservations, to-go orders, and general inquiries Schedule tours and assist guests with event planning questions Track event leads and maintain accurate event information Follow up consistently with prospective event guests Help guide guests through menu options and event offerings Coordinate event information with restaurant managers and service teams Maintain event calendars, guest information, and event details Support host stand operations and help maintain smooth front-of-house flow Assist the restaurant team wherever needed to support an exceptional guest experience
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through consistently Friendly, professional, and hospitality-driven personality Restaurant experience preferred Comfortable communicating by phone, email, and in person Reliable, proactive, and self-motivated Experience with private events, catering, banquet events, or group dining is a plus Experience with Toast Catering & Events software is a plus

REQUIREMENTS
