Job Overview:

We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Host. As a Host, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Your main responsibilities will include greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and providing excellent customer service. We pay more than most host positions because we expect more. This is not an entry-level, stand-and-smile position. Our hosts manage the first and last impression of every guest. You'll be responsible for pacing the dining room, communicating wait times with confidence, and keeping calm when the restaurant is buzzing. You'll thrive here if you: Enjoy being in charge of a fast-moving environment Speak clearly and confidently to guests of all personalities Stay composed under pressure Can deliver boundaries with warmth This role is not a fit if you: Avoid conflict or uncomfortable conversations Shut down when it's busy Need constant direction Weekend availability required.

Duties:

• Greet guests with a warm and friendly welcome
• Seat guests and provide menus
• Manage reservations and ensure timely seating
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining area
• Answer phone calls and take reservations
• Provide accurate wait times to guests
• Communicate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests with professionalism and efficiency
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and promotions
• Use our reservation system to manage seating arrangements and guest information

Skills:

• Previous experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
• Strong guest service skills with the ability to provide exceptional service
• Proficiency in using Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong phone etiquette and ability to handle high call volumes
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm under pressure
• Strong problem-solving skills to address guest concerns or issues promptly
