We are a service oriented non-alcoholic botanical bar in South Beach serving handcrafted beverages made with kava, kratom, teas, and other botanicals. Our atmosphere blends hospitality, community, music, wellness, and nightlife into a unique social experience. This role is centered around creating an exceptional guest experience from the moment someone walks in the door. We are looking for someone warm, attentive, proactive, highly personable, and naturally aware of atmosphere and hospitality. The ideal candidate genuinely enjoys making people feel welcomed, comfortable, and included. This is not a traditional restaurant host position — this role plays a major part in maintaining the overall energy, cleanliness, flow, and vibe of Kava Garden. Kava Garden is growing, and we are actively looking to develop future leaders and managers from within our team.

Compensation:

$17-$20/hour (depending on experience)

Responsibilities:

Greet guests warmly and help create a welcoming environment Maintain awareness of the overall atmosphere and guest experience Help keep the lounge, patio, and restroom areas clean and organized throughout the shift Bus tables, refill waters, clear dishes and ashtrays, and assist guests proactively Support bartenders and staff during busy periods Help maintain music, lighting, cleanliness, and overall vibe standards Interact with guests in a friendly, positive, and professional manner Assist with opening, closing, and restocking tasks as needed

Qualifications:

Hospitality or customer service experience preferred Strong interpersonal skills and charisma Positive attitude and excellent communication skills Naturally welcoming and socially aware Ability to stay attentive and proactive without constant direction Organized, dependable, and punctual Comfortable working in a fast-paced social environment Team-oriented mindset with strong personal accountability Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences

Pay:

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
