Host (1801, Waikiki)

Located downstairs at Waikiki Market, our new local-style restaurant and bar will be a welcoming place to enjoy familiar comfort food, drinks and good times with friends. We are looking for Hosts to join our Piko Kitchen + Bar team! Hosts are responsible for welcoming guests in a warm and friendly manner using the '10/5' rule. This position seats guests and manages the seating chart using proper seating rotation among the servers. Hosts also monitor restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow, respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner, and answer the phone within three rings, using the standard phone script.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following: Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation and safety policies. Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact. Escort guests to their assigned table in the dining area, present menus, and introduce their server. Use visual cues to seat guests in either the bar or dining area Ability to read non verbal cues and body language Answer incoming phone calls within three rings using the phone script provided Manage the flow of guests into the dining room and bar, and provide accurate wait time to guests if appropriate

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a strong dedication toward learning and motivation to progress in restaurant dining environment. Possess effective communication skills, positive attitude, and professionalism Must be impeccably groomed, maintain good hygiene, good posture and have required uniform and tools. Responsive to constructive feedback from Chefs, Managers or staff. Must possess a recent TB Clearance.
