Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Your enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, and ability to manage guest flow will ensure smooth seating operations and outstanding guest relations. Responsibilities Greet guests with a friendly and positive attitude as they arrive, making them feel valued and comfortable from the moment they walk in Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as OpenTable and Toast POS, ensuring accurate tracking of guest seating times Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to optimize seating arrangements and minimize wait times Provide guests with menu information, answer questions about specials or dietary needs, and assist with any special requests Maintain a clean, organized host stand and ensure all guest areas are welcoming and well-presented Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing information about reservations or wait times while practicing excellent phone etiquette Experience Previous experience as a host/hostess in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse guests Familiarity with restaurant seating POS systems such as OpenTable or Toast is advantageous Knowledge of food service operations, serving protocols, and guest engagement techniques will help you excel in this role Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude Join us to be part of an energetic team dedicated to delivering memorable experiences through exceptional hospitality!
