Our ideal candidate is organized, self-driven, capable of driving positive attitude and teamwork, punctual, and hard-working. The job is hosting at Paisano's Ristorante, Topeka's only made-from-scratch Italian restaurant.

Hosts core responsibilities are:

Greeting Guests walking in the door and deciding which table they will be seated at based on server rotation (we will explain) and the customer's need or preference (i.e. table or booth); Taking Guests to their tables while making them feel welcome; Bussing tables once guests have completed their meals and then wiping/sanitizing tables in preparation for the next guests. Additional responsibilities include assisting servers when asked, as well as side work such as rolling silverware and cleaning/stocking bathrooms at the end of your shift. Wage range varies by availability and capability. We also have bussers, but they are paid based on their limited customer-facing capabilities. Qualifications No previous experience is required for this role. Great People Skills. You MUST be friendly, even with customers who are grumpy because they have to wait for a table or they are hungry. Team Player. This role requires engaging customers and servers and managers and being a part of a team. Open Availability. This role will be expected to work rotating weekends, some lunches, and some evenings. Communication Skills. Effectively communicating will be a critical skill. Age requirement of 16 or older. Other expectations can be discussed in an interview.
