Our Hotel Guest Service Hosts at the Hyatt Place Wichita State University are responsible for just that.. and so much MORE! Managing the guest registration process and communication of hotel services and promotions, while going the extra mile, exceeding expectations, and ensuring that all guests feel right at home are just the start. This position is primarily customer-facing and has a direct impact on many aspects of the guest experience from registration to departure. Guest Service Hosts are typically the first (and sometimes only) point of contact for all services, policies, amenities and inquires about the hotel property, so we expect the representation, welcome, and service throughout the entire experience to be professional, positive, valuable and sincere.
Requirements:
Provide exceptional customer service to all internal and external customers. Handle all guest problems and complaints in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining a positive and helpful attitude. Know and follow company policy and procedures. Must be personable and willing to establish a rapport with guests. Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include days, nights, weekends and holidays. Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy. Prioritize, organize and follow-up Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment. Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team. Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data. Administer hotel guest payment policies. Responsible for shift cash transactions. Communicate hotel facilities and services to guests. Answer questions regarding local area facilities and points of interest. Coordinate with other departments to fulfill special guest requests. Read and update the Front Desk Communication Log daily. Notify housekeeping and maintenance of any reported problems with rooms and grounds. Know and follow the hotel emergency procedures. Prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with established food safety and hygiene standards. Assist in the setup and breakdown of dining areas for various events, including banquets and catering services. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen facilities. Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure it meets dining standards. Adhere to all safety regulations related to food handling and preparation Other duties as assigned/needed.
