The Bar at Willett - Host Est. 1936, the Willett Distillery is perched atop the highest point in Nelson County, Kentucky. After over 80 years, Willett remains independent, family owned and truly family operated. Today, over 80,000 tourists visit Willett annually necessitating a number of hospitality expansion projects including the addition of a classic cocktail bar and coffee shop. Position Summary Hosts are responsible for welcoming guests warmly, ensuring each guest is made to feel valued and work to find a seat for as many guests as possible. Hospitality, serving others and gratitude are paramount values for the Willett family. Hosts serve as the company's liaison to consumers and as such the importance of this position to the overall success of the organization family cannot be overstated. Primary Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and provide helpful instructions. Manage the reservation system and look for ways to best accommodate as many guests as strategically possible. Support coworkers, look for ways to be helpful and proactive, anticipate the needs of guests and coworkers Maintain the inviting appearance of the property by regularly cleaning, organizing and replenishing surroundings. Perform daily logistics and cleaning tasks each morning and before closing. Look for efficiencies, improvements and creative solutions to improve the guest experience Be hospitable, friendly, communicative and helpful all day Requirements Qualifications Must demonstrate an unwavering positive attitude, with a strong commitment to honesty, work ethic and selfless teamwork. Must be kind and fun at all times. As a small family owned business, respectful behavior, teamwork and flexibility are essential for success.
