JOB DESCRIPTION

Proof Media Mix is currently seeking a staff member for the Garden & Gun Club at Stitzel-Weller Distillery. The role is responsible for maintaining aspects of the Garden & Gun Club food operation including front and back of the house. Primary duties include managing food inventory and prep, preparing all food orders that come from the Club and delivering them to the correct tables, busing tables, straighten tables/chairs as well as being knowledgeable of the Garden & Gun and Stitzel-Weller Distillery brands. There may be occasions where help is needed on private events. The main function is running our kitchen and hospitality needs of the Garden & Gun Club. Our menu is 6 small plates that require prep but minimal cooking. The menu changes seasonally. Creativity for upcoming menu's as well as food and bourbon experiences will be needed.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Include, but are not limited to the following:

• Effectively execute food prep and preparation/running of all food tickets
• Bus tables after guests are finished with cocktails or small plates
• Ensure kitchen is neat and clean and food is prepped before each shift
• Willingness to be knowledgeable on whiskey brands at Stitzel-Weller (material provided)
• Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor
• Be an effective problem solver and team player
• Keep the Brand Home Manager and Assistant Manager aware of any issues or concerns
• Greeting guests when applicable entering the distillery, whether for a tour, tasting or to visit the Garden & Gun Club Individuals must have professional appearance, strong attention to detail, sense of urgency, can be self-directed and the ability to prioritize and communicate effectively with customers and guests.

They should have a strong understanding of the details necessary to perform multiple tasks. Some lifting and outdoor work will be required.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience in hospitability and/or hosting a plus
• You should have an extensive knowledge of kitchen equipment, and excel in food preparation and cooking methods
• You should have excellent communication skills, be able to work under pressure, and have a calm approach to stressful situations. You should also have imaginative cooking skills and have a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds
• Adhere to a work schedule that includes weekdays, some evenings, and weekends.
• Must have reliable transportation
• Present a professional appearance that includes following the Stitzel-Weller Style Guide
• Work at a pace consistent with changing business volume and demands
• Beverage industry a plus

Hourly; Based on Experience.
