Job Description
Holiday Inn of Middlesboro needs help executing one of top guest experiences - breakfast! At Holiday Inn of Middlesboro, we pride ourselves on the daily and free service of an amazing breakfast. We are convinced it is part of the reason our guests continue to come back! We are hiring a Breakfast Hostess who is responsible for preparing and serving that daily free breakfast. We need a bright, cheery, morning person who will enjoy interacting with and assisting guests throughout their breakfast experience. Our ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable setting up and maintaining the food to adhere to health codes and brand standards, maintain stock and inventory of products, clearing and cleaning tables as they are vacated, generally maintaining a clean environment in the breakfast room, and someone who enjoys interacting with guests. This job does require that the applicants be able to carry or lift items up to 50 pounds, as well as frequently stand, squat, bend, or kneel. Duties and responsibilities Prepare food, coffee and juice Setting up and maintaining the breakfast bar as per brand standards and local health codes Provide personalized service by greeting and acknowledging every guest, listening and responding to guests' request Maintain stock and inventory Clearing and clean tables as they are vacated Follow cleaning schedule and all health code requirements, as well as deep clean schedule Follow established safety procedures at all times. Immediately report any health and safety incident, security breaches, concerns or suspicious behavior to the supervisor or manager on duty Remove trash Sweeping, vacuuming, moping and dusting Additional responsibilities may be added by supervisor This job requires ability to perform the following: Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds and ability to push/pull medium to large weights/objects Frequently standing up and moving about the facility Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility Frequently bending, stooping, and kneeling Able to work alone as well as being a team member The Holiday Inn Express Middlesboro Hotel is located in Middlesboro's blend of historic woodlands, and mountain views. We are located close to Pine Mountain State Park and Cumberland Gap National Park. We are also close to the historic Cumberland Gap, the trail that was used by Daniel Boone, features hiking trails, crafts and Southern Hospitality.
