Job Description

Job Summary Join our vibrant team as a Host/Hostess, where your energy and hospitality will set the tone for an exceptional guest experience. In this dynamic role, you will be the welcoming face of our establishment, ensuring guests feel valued and comfortable from the moment they arrive. Your enthusiasm, organizational skills, and attention to detail will help create a lively, efficient, and memorable atmosphere for all patrons. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your customer service skills while working in a fast-paced, friendly environment dedicated to hospitality excellence. You will also be answering phones, taking messages, taking to-go orders etc. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a positive first impression that embodies our welcoming atmosphere Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using Open Table Maintain waitlists and communicate wait times clearly and professionally via phone etiquette and guest interactions Coordinate with the service team to ensure smooth seating flow and timely service delivery Assist guests with inquiries about menu items, restaurant policies, or special requests to enhance their dining experience Uphold food safety standards by managing guest flow responsibly and ensuring proper sanitation practices are followed Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously to foster a positive environment for all visitors Taking To-Go orders over the phone or in person using Toast (POS). Bagging up To-Go orders. Taking messages for management. Experience Previous host/hostess experience in a restaurant or food service setting preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn ARE KEY!! Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse guests and team members Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Toast is preferred. Experience in food service or hospitality roles that involve guest interaction, serving, or guest relations is highly valued Knowledge of phone etiquette and organizational skills necessary to manage reservations and guest flow efficiently Understanding of food safety practices relevant to restaurant operations is a plus Experience working in hotel or hospitality environments can be beneficial but is not mandatory Join us in creating memorable dining experiences by delivering outstanding guest services with energy, professionalism, and a genuine passion for hospitality.
