Host The Black Dog Pub Martha's Vineyard, MA The Black Dog Pub is seeking friendly, organized, and guest-focused Hosts to help create an exceptional first impression for every guest who walks through our doors. As a Host, you will play a vital role in managing the flow of the dining room and ensuring guests feel welcomed from arrival to departure. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and professionally Manage waitlists and seating arrangements Coordinate table assignments with servers and management Answer phones and assist with reservations and guest inquiries Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area Support the front-of-house team to ensure a positive guest experience Qualifications Strong communication and interpersonal skills Positive attitude and professional appearance Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Weekend and holiday availability preferred Previous restaurant or customer service experience is a plus What We Offer Competitive hourly pay Flexible scheduling Team-oriented work environment Opportunity to be part of an exciting new restaurant opening
