Studio on the Common Do you love working with kids? Are you an energetic art teacher looking to pick up some extra work on the weekends? This job is perfect for you! Studio on the Common is a community-driven Art & Pottery Studio in Winchester, MA, offering after-school programs, birthday parties, and summer programs for kids ages 3-18. We introduce students to drawing, painting, pottery, and more—while keeping things fun, social, and creative. We're a close-knit team that loves bringing art into the community, going the extra mile, and having a great time doing it—and we're looking for someone who shares that energy!
The Role:
Lead and coordinate fun, creative birthday parties for kids ages 4+ (up to 20 guests), making each celebration feel special, smooth, and full of joy.
What You'll Do:
Plan and coordinate birthday parties hosted at the studio, including themed art-based or creative activities Communicate with parents/guardians prior to events to confirm details, preferences, and special requests Set up, lead, and clean up birthday parties (up to three parties per day) Plan and prep materials ahead of each event Create a welcoming, high-energy environment for kids and families Guide kids through engaging, age-appropriate art projects Keep the group focused, excited, and having FUN! Great Fit If You:
Have experience working with kids (especially ages 4-12) Have a background teaching visual arts (painting, drawing, crafts, etc.) Are a strong, confident leader who can manage a group with ease Are reliable, organized, proactive, and a great planner Bring a positive, playful, and enthusiastic attitude Can stay active and engaged throughout parties
