Event Host

Job Summary:

Are you an outgoing and energetic individual who loves to create unforgettable experiences for others? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and enjoy interacting with a groups of people? If so, ReWax and UnWine is looking for a part-time Event Host to join our team at our Owings Mills, MD location! We are the fastest-growing candle-making experience franchise across the United States, providing in-studio, mobile candle bar and corporate candle making experiences! As an Event Host, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of each event, including helping customers select their scents, guiding them through the candle-making process, and ensuring a fun and engaging experience for all. You will also be responsible for managing the crowd, providing instructions, setting up and tearing down, restocking shelves, upselling, and more. Your ability to engage customers with candle trivia and care information will be a key factor in creating a memorable experience. You may even be asked to set up karaoke to keep the party going! The ideal candidate is a reliable, high-energy individual who is comfortable in a leadership role and has excellent public speaking skills. While prior candle-making experience is not required, we are looking for someone who is eager to learn and passionate about creating a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver a professional and engaging experience to all customers
• Guide customers through the candle-making process and provide candle care information
• Manage the crowd and provide instructions
• Clean candle wax and fragrance
• Set up and tear down the event space
• Restock shelves and sell products
• Stay on schedule and ensure events run smoothly
• Maintain a positive attitude towards customers and staff
• Keep the studio up to cleaning and safety standards
• Listen for customer feedback and serve up to the management team

Good To Have:

• Serving/Bartending experience
• Hospitality experience
• Customer Service experience
• Candle making experience

Requirements:

• 21 years of age or older
• High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred
• Confident in public speaking and leading groups
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• You must be quick on your feet and solution-oriented
• Available to work weekends and weeknights
• Able to stand for extended periods of time
• High energy
