Responsibilities include answering phones to take reservations and take-out orders, greeting and seating guests, and ensuring smooth table transitions by bussing and resetting tables. Hosts also assist with filling water glasses and maintaining overall cleanliness and order in the dining area. We believe in nurturing talent and offer opportunities for our hosts to grow within the team. We provide training and development to those interested in advancing to server positions, ensuring a clear path for career progression within our restaurant. As a host at Maru Sushi, you'll benefit from our tip-sharing program, receiving 2% of food sales from each server. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Positive, proactive mentality Personable and confident phone etiquette Embodies our Core Values Ability to connect with guests to create raving fans, from the enthusiastic welcome to the warm, thoughtful goodbye Always looking to create the "yes" for teammates and guests Ensure work space is neat and clutter-free Take and fulfill reservations and take-out orders over the phone Fulfill and serve take-out/delivery orders to guests Assist FOH staff with table bussing, resetting, filling waters Maintain cleanliness of restaurant and ensure sanitation standards are upheld Ability to work with POS, reservation, and scheduling software (Toast, Resy, R365) Complete training quizzes and final exam with 90% or better
