Full Job Description Compensation:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour, plus tips
Employment Type:
Mix of 1st and 2nd shifts - estimated 24-40 hours per week
Reports To:
Front Office Manager Position Overview:
As a Gallery Host at Hyatt Place Grand Rapids South, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, delivering exceptional service and creating a welcoming environment. Your role encompasses front desk operations, food and beverage service, and overall guest experience management. This position requires flexibility to work both morning and evening shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Services:
Greet and register guests upon arrival and departure. Verify guest information, process payments, and manage reservations. Address guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally.
Food & Beverage Operations:
Prepare, set up, and serve food and beverages in the Gallery Café and Coffee to Cocktails Bar. Ensure food and beverage areas are clean, well-stocked, and organized. Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards.
Operational Support:
Maintain accurate records of transactions and guest interactions. Assist with administrative tasks as required, including cash handling and reporting. Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction.
Brand Standards Compliance:
Uphold Hyatt's brand standards and service excellence in all interactions. Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of one year in customer service or hospitality; hotel experience preferred. Experience in food and beverage service is a plus.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
