Restaurant Host

Position Overview:

A Host or Hostess greets customers as they enter the restaurant. They are responsible for taking reservations or putting them on a wait list, give guests menus and show them to their seat. Hostess/Hosts may also handle phone calls and customer inquiries about the restaurant and the menu. They may also assist other restaurant staff when necessary.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Greet guests and customers with a smileTake reservations and put guests on a wait list if neededGive guests menus and show them to their seatHandle phone calls and customer inquiries about the restaurant and menuAssist other restaurant staff when necessaryLight cleaning when needed

Job Requirements:

Responsible and hard workingExcellent communication and customer service skills neededEndurance including prolonged standing, some bending, walking long distances, and stretching.

Ability to lift 50 pounds as needed

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or GED or one (1) year equivalent experienceHave basic knowledge of the restaurant menu #GVL
