Job Description

Store Vision Bricks & Minifigs is first and foremost a place for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy and explore their passion for LEGO. We provide joy to our local LEGO community through excellent customer service, a variety of unique products, and an environment that fosters collaboration and creativity. Each Bricks & Minifigs location is locally owned, and part of a growing franchise, headquartered in Orem, UT. Our store in Springfield is the largest in the franchise. We are a buy, sell, trade business that encourages customers to reuse, rebuild and reimagine with LEGO elements.
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for planning and implementing a variety of on-site and off-site events for LEGO fans of all ages. This position is a mixture of event planning, hosting, and customer service. For this role, personality, planning skills, and ability to be creative are all much more important than knowledge of
LEGO. HIGH LEVEL RESPONSIBILITIES
Supporting the design and implementation of a variety of events and activities Contribute to an atmosphere that balances a friendly feel with professionalism Help customers of all ages feel welcome and to maximize their Bricks & Minifigs experience Collaborating proactively and constructively with management and third parties
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
: 10% Designing and documenting plans for a variety of in-store and off-site events and activities 75% Attending to specific requirements before, during, and after each event 10% Proactively connecting with customers, vendors, educators, and other third parties 5% Sharing in general retail activities
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Ability to be welcoming and approachable with an extroverted, energetic personality
  • Highly organized with good planning abilities and great degree of accuracy
  • Demonstrates good judgement and quick problem-solving skills
  • Capacity to turn good ideas into repeatable and profitable events
  • Availability mostly on weekdays but periodically on weekends
  • Excellent oral and written English communication
Preferred :
1+ years of experience planning events or activities
    Preferred :
    Experience teaching or leading groups, especially children
    • Act with integrity and accountability
    • Understand and follow policies, processes and ethical requirements
    • Work collaboratively with others
    • A desire to develop your skills and grow within the role and organization
    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
    • Physically able to lift and move heavy objects (40+ pounds) and stand for long periods of time
    • Occasionally, the position may require travel to a surrounding area.
    Travel costs are covered.
    COMPENSATION, PERKS AND SHIFTS

    • Depending on the availability of the person hired, this position will be 20-35 hours per week with wages generally from $16/hour (depending on experience and availability).
    This position also has the unique opportunity to earn tips and commission bonuses based on performance of the events. Compensation for this position has the potential for an increase based on the performance of the business and the individual.
