Host/Cashier

Overview We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/cashier to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. You will be responsible for welcoming guests, managing reservations, and ensuring that all patrons receive exceptional service from the moment they arrive until they leave. Responsibilities A host in a Japanese hibachi restaurant is responsible for greeting guests, seating them, and managing reservations:

Greeting :

Welcoming guests and making a good first impression

Seating :

Ensuring guests are seated efficiently and in a timely manner

Reservations :

Taking reservations and managing them Special requests : Managing special seating requests

Menus :

Providing guests with menus and server information

Phone :

Answering the phone and responding to guest inquiries To-go orders : Taking to-go orders

Communication :

Relaying information to service staff and requesting feedback from guests

Cleanliness :

Maintaining a clean and organized station and finish all the required opening&closing sidework Experience Previous experience in customer service or hospitality roles is preferred, particularly in restaurants or hotels. Familiarity with POS system is a plus but not required; training will be provided. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. A passion for helping others and providing outstanding guest services is essential.
