PRIMARY PURPOSE

As a Host Cashier, you will be responsible for monetary transactions. You will also set the stage for the guest experience with your welcoming smile and service.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure procedures are being followed. Operate the POS system. Handle money and credit transactions. Notify the manager on duty of any guest concerns. Perform other job-related duties as requested.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent. One (1) year of Food & Beverage Cashier or equivalent experience in a cash-handling position Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. Experience in a high-volume food outlet.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm in a very high-paced and stressful environment. Knowledgeable of a Point of Sales (POS) system including handling all monetary/credit transactions; including working knowledge of computerized cash registers. Knowledgeable of food and beverage operations and procedures. Excellent customer service skills as well as interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position may require strenuous physical activities and exposure to pipe, cigar, and/or cigarette smoking. An ability to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays may also be required.
