That starts with you. What We Expect This role is not for everyone. Our rushes run 2 to 4 hours straight and the energy never drops. We need someone who thrives under pressure, stays light on their feet, keeps a smile on their face, and never lets the pace affect how they treat a guest. If that sounds like you — keep reading. Key Responsibilities Customer Experience Greet every guest with high energy and a genuine great attitude — every time, no exceptions Provide clear, friendly, and knowledgeable communication about orders, menu items, and the Buffalo Eatz brand Answer all customer questions with patience and confidence — whether it's their first visit or their fiftieth Welcome new guests to the brand and make returning customers feel at home Order Taking & POS Accurately take and enter customer orders using our POS system Handle all payment transactions — cash, card, and digital payments Manage phone orders with the same accuracy and professionalism as in-person orders Handle third-party delivery platform orders (DoorDash, Uber Eats, etc.) and ensure accuracy and timely handoff Front of House Cleanliness & Organization Keep the lobby and dining area clean, organized, and sparkling at all times Wipe down tables and chairs and sanitize surfaces regularly — especially during and after rushes Sweep and mop the front of house as needed throughout the shift Ensure the pickup/delivery staging area is clean and organized Maintain a front of house that you'd be proud to walk a health inspector through at any moment Team Communication Communicate clearly and consistently with kitchen staff and teammates — especially during peak hours Flag any order issues, customer concerns, or inventory shortages to the right person immediately Work as a unit — a great cashier makes the whole team better What We're Looking For High energy — genuinely, not just on paper Great attitude under pressure — rushes don't rattle you, they fuel you Fast on your feet — literally and mentally Strong communicator with both customers and teammates Highly reliable — you show up on time, in uniform, ready to work Detail-oriented — you catch mistakes before they become problems Knowledgeable and passionate about the Buffalo Eatz brand and menu Ability to stand for extended periods — up to 4+ hours during peak service Prior POS or cashier experience preferred but not required — we'll train the right person Pay & Benefits $15/hour + monthly cash payouts Free phone bill service Free TV streaming service Free Apple Music Potential dental insurance Growth opportunities — we promote from within Brand Knowledge Requirement Every Buffalo Eatz cashier is expected to know our menu inside and out.
