Gaston Brewing Company is seeking a professional, high-energy Host/Hostess to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you set the tone for the entire dining experience. We are looking for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintains a polished professional presence, and understands that hospitality is a team sport. The ideal candidate isn't just someone who "stands at the front"—they are the conductor of the dining room floor. •Weekend Availability is a must.

Key Responsibilities Elite Guest Service:

Provide a warm, professional welcome to every guest. You are the face of Gaston Brewing; your goal is to make every person feel like a regular from the moment they walk through the door.

Strategic Seating & Volume Management:

Monitor the floor with a "big picture" mindset. You must remain calm and composed during peak hours, accurately estimating wait times and managing the flow of the restaurant to prevent bottlenecks.

Server Partnership:

Act as a vital team member by communicating constantly with the service staff. You will manage table rotations fairly to ensure servers are balanced and the kitchen remains steady.

Administrative Precision:

Handle high-volume phone inquiries, manage reservations, and maintain an organized host station.

Operational Support:

Proactively assist the team by identifying open tables that need clearing and ensuring menus are clean and presentable at all times.

Qualifications & Skills Exceptional Communication:

Must possess the ability to speak clearly and professionally with both guests and teammates.

Organizational Mastery:

You should be naturally detail-oriented, capable of tracking multiple parties, open tables, and special requests simultaneously.

Emotional Intelligence:

The ability to stay patient, friendly, and "unshakeable" when the lobby is full and the pressure is on.

Reliability:

We value punctuality and a self-driven work ethic. You show up on time, ready to lead the front of the house.

Team-First Mentality:

A willingness to jump in and help servers or bussers whenever necessary to ensure a seamless guest experience.
