Job Summary Host starting pay is $9.50 an hour w/ tips. With tips you can make near to $13 an hour. As the first and last point of contact for our guests, the Host plays a critical role in shaping the dining experience. We are looking for a high-energy, detail-oriented individual who excels at multitasking and maintains a professional "front-of-house" presence. You will be responsible for managing the flow of the restaurant, maintaining a pristine lobby and dining area, and ensuring our guests feel welcomed from the moment they walk through the door. Key Responsibilities 1.

Guest Relations & Floor Management The Gold Standard:

Greet every guest immediately upon entry with a warm, professional welcome.

Communication:

Act as the hub of communication between guests and management.

Presence:

Ensure the host stand is attended at all times to assist with seating and traffic of guest 2.

Facilities Maintenance & Sanitation Detail Cleaning:

Maintain clean area (front entrance and dining sections)

Table Readiness:

Wipe down tables, chairs, booths, and high chairs after every use.

Restroom Oversight:

Conduct hourly checks of restrooms to ensure they are clean, stocked, and the cabinets are organized.

End-of-Day Care:

Sweep the foyer, vacuum and roll rugs, and ensure all trash is removed and replaced with fresh liners. 3.

Shift Administration Daily Specials:

Update the front specials board and the host stand soup board daily.

Menu Care:

Consistently wipe down, sanitize, and restock menus and kids' menus.

Stocking:

Prepare sanitation rags for various stations and ensure all tables are set with polished silverware.

Requirements Professionalism:

A "no-phone" policy is strictly enforced while on the floor.

Physical Stamina:

Ability to stand for long periods, perform sweeping/vacuuming, and carry silverware bins. Attention to

Ability to follow a multi-step checklist for opening and closing procedures.

Team Player:

Willingness to "pre-bus" and assist servers during busy rushes to keep the restaurant running smoothly. Past Experience in Restaurant in a plus Backstreets Bar and Grill originally opened its doors on Friday, January 26th, 1996, .
