Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and friendly Hostess / Expo to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will be the welcoming face of our establishment, ensuring guests feel valued from the moment they arrive. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will help create a memorable dining experience. As a Hostess / Expo, you will coordinate guest seating, manage reservations, and support the kitchen and service staff by efficiently communicating orders and guest needs. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your hospitality skills in a lively, fast-paced environment. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing excellent customer service and a positive first impression Manage reservations and waitlists using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize seating flow Escort guests to their tables, ensuring comfort and satisfaction throughout their visit Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to relay guest orders accurately as an Expo Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area to ensure a welcoming atmosphere Handle guest inquiries over the phone with professionalism, demonstrating strong phone etiquette Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously, enhancing overall guest experience Skills Previous host/hostess experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred Strong food service knowledge and understanding of restaurant operations Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Effective communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with team members and guests Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable Background in hotel or guest services can be an advantage Ability to multitask efficiently in a lively environment while maintaining professionalism Knowledge of serving protocols, hospitality standards, and guest relations techniques Join us and be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering exceptional hospitality!
