Host/Cashier

Overview We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Cashier to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a smooth dining experience. You will handle reservations, greet guests, and manage the cash register while providing exceptional customer service. Your ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive attitude will be key to enhancing guest satisfaction. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements to optimize flow and efficiency. Handle reservations and walk-in guests with professionalism and courtesy. Operate the cash register accurately, processing payments and managing transactions efficiently. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area. Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely service delivery. Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction. Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and payment handling. Uphold restaurant policies regarding guest services, phone etiquette, and hospitality standards. Skills Previous host/host experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred. Strong background in food service and customer service roles. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on guest relations. Familiarity with POS systems, specifically Aloha POS or Micros POS, is advantageous. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with guests and team members.
