Job Summary Saint Florian, a modern American Restaurant located in Hudson, NY seeks a friendly and motivated Host to join our team! In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a smooth dining experience. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting guests, managing reservations, and maintaining an inviting atmosphere in our restaurant. A passion for hospitality and excellent customer service skills are essential to succeed in this position. This role will begin with shifts on Friday and Saturday evenings, from 4:00 PM until 10:00 PM, and will receive an hourly rate as well as percentage of pooled tips. Responsibilities Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor. Manage the seating chart and ensure timely seating of guests based on their reservations. Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure seamless service. Assist in managing guest flow during peak hours to minimize wait times. Provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to guests. Handle guest inquiries and resolve any concerns promptly to enhance guest satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area. Manage Reservations and Waitlists to maximize seating potential. Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming environment for all patrons. Skills Strong hospitality skills with a focus on customer service excellence. Excellent communication abilities to interact effectively with guests and staff. Experience in guest relations within restaurant settings is preferred. Familiarity with food service operations and Toast POS system is a plus. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
