Host/Hostess, Beeches Manor

Position Description:

Greet guests as they enter, seat guests in a reasonable time and order, engage with guests to ensure they have a good experience, taking to-go orders and answering phones.

Performance Responsibilities and Standards:

Greeting guests as they enter and putting them on a waiting list as necessary. Providing guests with menus and answering any initial questions. Seating guests at tables or in waiting areas. Assigning guests to tables they prefer, while keeping table rotation in mind so servers receive a similar and fair number of customers. Engaging with guests to ensure they're happy with their dining experience. Responding to complaints and helping to resolve them. Answering phone calls, taking reservations and answering questions. Learning the menu and what each meal includes. Helping out with other positions if needed. Providing great customer service. Bussing tables to keep the flow of service running smoothly. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED Ability to learn and use point-of-sale systems with basic computer skills. Attention to cleanliness and safety. Patience and customer-oriented approach Responsible and trustworthy. Flexible availability. Strong communication and customer service skills.

Physical Requirements:

Able to work in a standing position for long periods. Able to reach and bend and frequently lift up to 30 pounds. Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Category III - Employee who rarely has contact with blood and body fluids.
