Host

Sassafras Kitchen & Coffee Bar is looking for a Host to join our team in Hillsboro, Ohio! The Host is responsible for making a positive first impression on all guests. They are responsible for respectfully and politely greeting and seating all customers. The host keeps the flow of seating organized and consistent to ensure all service staff receive adequate spacing between seatings. The host is also responsible for communicating to staff any special requests and communicating to customers any messages from management. They will work closely with the BARista and wait staff.

Responsibilities:

Welcome all guests politely Engage with guests to determine any special needs (booster seats, etc.) Communicate special needs or events to service staff Maintain a clean and organized workstation Keep waiting list organized (Digital Waitlist) May assist in answering phones, taking reservations, and /or organizing take-out/curbside/3rd party delivery. Assist service staff if help is needed. Communicate issues to management immediately Side work; including but not limited to table bussing and rolling silverware Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

No Experience Required! Entry Level Position. Positive Attitude; Customer Service Oriented. Must be able to Stand and Walk for Extended Periods of Time. Ability to Handle Stress Well. Ability to Multi-Task efficiently.
