Restaurant Host - Ralphs American Grill

At Ralph's American Grill , our Hosts are the first and last impression for every guest. The Host plays a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere while managing the flow of the restaurant to ensure an exceptional dining experience. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to hospitality. Position Summary The Restaurant Host is responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations and waitlists, and coordinating seating to support efficient restaurant operations. Hosts ensure guests feel welcomed and valued while maintaining Ralph's hospitality standards. Key Responsibilities Greet all guests promptly and warmly upon arrival Manage the waitlist and reservations using the restaurant's seating system Escort guests to tables while maintaining an organized seating rotation Provide menus and communicate daily specials or relevant information Maintain awareness of table status and coordinate with servers and management to ensure smooth service flow Answer phones and respond to guest inquiries in a professional and courteous manner Assist with takeout orders when needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area Thank guests as they depart and invite them to return Support the service team as needed to maintain efficient operations Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines Qualifications Previous customer service or restaurant experience preferred but not required Friendly, outgoing personality with strong interpersonal skills Ability to remain organized and composed in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and multitasking abilities Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to occasionally lift and carry items up to 20 pounds Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment What We Offer Competitive hourly pay Flexible scheduling Team-oriented work environment Opportunities for growth within the organization At Ralph's American Grill , we are committed to delivering exceptional hospitality through teamwork, respect, and a passion for great service.
