Host / Hostess Papa Haydn NorthwestPapa Haydn is seeking a warm, organized, and hospitality-driven Host to join our team at our Northwest Portland location.
For nearly 50 years, Papa Haydn has been a Portland institution, known for exceptional desserts, attentive service, and creating memorable experiences for generations of guests. While our cakes and pastries have earned national recognition, it is our people and commitment to genuine hospitality that have made us a beloved part of the community since 1978.As a Host, you are the first and last impression of the restaurant. You set the tone for every guest experience by providing a welcoming atmosphere, managing reservations and waitlists, and ensuring smooth communication between guests and the service team. We are looking for someone who is friendly, poised under pressure, and understands the importance of hospitality in every interaction.

What You'll Do:
Welcome guests with warmth and professionalismManage reservations, waitlists, and guest seatingCommunicate effectively with servers, managers, and kitchen staffAnswer phones and assist guests with questions about the restaurant, menu, and bakery offeringsMaintain an organized host stand and entrywayMonitor dining room flow to ensure efficient seating and guest satisfactionAssist with takeout orders and bakery guest inquiries as neededSupport the service team in creating an exceptional guest experienceWhat We're Looking For:
