Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to optimize flow and guest satisfaction. Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently. Provide accurate wait times and keep guests informed about their table status in a friendly manner. Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand, ensuring a professional appearance at all times. Answer phone inquiries with courtesy, providing information about the restaurant's services and reservation policies. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth seating transitions and guest flow. Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly, demonstrating excellent customer service skills. Experience Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service/hospitality is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key. Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette, to interact effectively with guests and team members Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor in a fast-paced setting. Knowledge of hospitality standards and guest relations practices enhances your ability to create memorable experiences for visitors.
