Overview We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Your responsibilities will include managing reservations, greeting guests, and facilitating smooth communication between the front of house and kitchen staff. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables. Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently to optimize seating arrangements. Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service. Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area. Assist with guest inquiries and resolve any issues to enhance guest relations. Provide support during busy periods by helping with seating arrangements or assisting servers as needed. Skills Strong customer service skills with a passion for hospitality. Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficient in using POS systems for managing reservations and orders. Good phone etiquette to handle incoming calls professionally. Ability to remain calm under pressure while multitasking in a fast-paced environment. A friendly demeanor with a focus on helping guests feel welcome and valued.
