Based on Experience + Tips (if applicable) As a Lounge Host at The Marquee, you are the first and final impression for every guest who walks through our doors. In this key role, you bring warmth, professionalism, and poise to every interaction - setting the tone for an elevated guest experience. You know how to manage reservations, maintain table flow, and greet guests with confidence, even in a fast-paced, high-energy setting. Your goal is to ensure guests feel welcomed, informed, and valued from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Warmly welcome and greet guests upon arrival
- Manage reservations and walk-in traffic using reservation management software
- Maintain an organized and efficient waitlist, communicating estimated wait times as needed
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus
- Communicate clearly with the service team to ensure seamless table turns and guest flow
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests with professionalism and discretion
- Monitor the ambiance of the lounge - ensuring it remains clean, polished, and inviting
- Assist with coat check, door service, or special events as needed
- Answer phone calls and assist with reservation modifications and general inquiries
- Complete opening and closing duties and maintain a clean host stand area
- Perform other duties as directed by management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
(KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ANDABILITIES
)- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a host or front-of-house team member in an upscale or high-volume environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to stay calm, professional, and composed under pressure
- Polished appearance and positive, welcoming demeanor
- Experience with reservation systems (OpenTable)
- Must be organized, punctual, and detail-oriented
