Job Summary:
Our Host or Hostess is the forefront of our Service Team and is the first one to come in contact with our customers. Main role is to make the customer feel welcomed in a warm and friendly manner.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
    None Duties/Responsibilities:
    • Welcome customers in a warm and friendly manner
    • Ascertains their dining needs
    • Seats guests and manages the seating chart to ensure all servers have tables
    • Monitors restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow
    • Responds to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly! and efficient manner
    • Perform opening and closing duties, as needed
    • Assists others with side work including, but not limited to, cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, filling caddies, and organizing stations
    • Helps fellow team members wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships
    • Ensures tables are clean and that utensils, napkins, and other
    • needs have been provided
    • Distnbutes menus and presents the daily specials, if time allows
    • Knows restaurant menu and answers questions regarding the menu
    • May require assisting as a serving, as needed
    • May require taking food .and beverage orders and enters into ithe POS system
    • May sets up food service, equipment, and utensils, under de~ instructions and in accordance with tile specific area needs; checks food temperatures and/or prepares area for daily operations
    • Delivers food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to customers
    • Collects plates and clears the table as customers finish their meals
    • May require preparing customer checks and collecting payments
    • Assist with other resurant tasks, such as cleaning the dining and work areas, bathrooms, equipment, utensils and preparing silverware and condiments
    • Cleans and stocks bathroom according to standards
    • Requires sweeps, moping, cleaning, to including, walls and maintains equipment and appliances
    • Collects and plares garbage and trash in designated area
    • Learns/trains on POS system and has a good working knowledge of the system
    • ls liaison with manager for nightly reservations and seating plan
    • Takes and handles To Go orders
    • Answers business phone
    • Performs other related duties as assigned
    Required Skills/Abilities:
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

    • Well-organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately
    • Ability to operate point-of--sale systems
