As a Host, you will be responsible for greeting guests with enthusiasm, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth seating operations. Your friendly demeanor and excellent communication skills will set the tone for a warm hospitality environment, helping to foster guest satisfaction and loyalty. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your customer service skills within a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional service. Responsibilities Greet guests promptly with a friendly and energetic attitude, making them feel welcome and valued Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the dining experience Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area to ensure a professional appearance Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to optimize seating arrangements and reduce wait times Handle guest inquiries over the phone with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette Assist in managing guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive experience Requirements Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with guests and team members Experience with Opentable is phenomenal Knowledge of hospitality standards, including guest services, serving, and hotel experience is a plus Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude Excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills to foster welcoming interactions Prior experience in customer service roles within food service or hospitality industries is highly desirable Join our team as a Host and become an integral part of creating memorable dining experiences!
