Restaurant Host/Hostess 900 South Main Street, Lumberton, TX 77657 From $10 an hour - Part-time, Full-time From $10 an hour - Part-time, Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and organized Host/Hostess to be the welcoming face of The Toasted Yolk. The ideal candidate has a passion for hospitality and a natural ability to make guests feel at home from the moment they walk through the door. As a Host/Hostess, you will be responsible for managing the flow of the dining room, coordinating seating arrangements, and supporting the service team to ensure a smooth and enjoyable guest experience. Responsibilities Warmly greet and welcome every guest with a smile and friendly demeanor. Manage the waitlist, reservations, and seating chart to ensure an efficient flow of guests. Escort guests to their tables and present menus promptly. Communicate accurate wait times and manage guest expectations during peak hours. Answer phone calls, take to-go orders when needed, and assist with inquiries about menu items or restaurant hours. Maintain a clean and organized host stand, entryway, and restrooms throughout the shift. Assist servers and bussers with resetting tables and refilling beverages as needed. Coordinate with management and servers to balance sections and maximize guest satisfaction. Uphold Toasted Yolk's standards of hospitality and service excellence at all times. Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a positive, outgoing personality. Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Professional appearance and demeanor; punctual and reliable. Ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure during busy service hours. Basic computer or POS system knowledge (OpenTable or similar reservation systems preferred).
