Hostess Cashier

Overview We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Cashier to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they receive a warm welcome and exceptional service. Your responsibilities will include managing the flow of guests, handling cash transactions, and providing support to the restaurant staff to create a memorable dining experience. Responsibilities Greet guests as they arrive and escort them to their tables, ensuring a positive first impression. Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently to optimize seating arrangements. Take customer orders accurately and enter them into the POS system (Aloha POS or Micros POS). Process cash and credit card transactions promptly while maintaining accuracy in handling payments. Address guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, enhancing overall guest relations. Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including menus and dining spaces. Provide exceptional customer service by anticipating guest needs and responding promptly to requests. Qualifications Previous experience as a host/host or cashier in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred. Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with effective phone etiquette. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS or Micros POS, is advantageous. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience in food service or hotel guest services is a plus.
