Full Job Description Responsibilities:
Greeting guests: Hostesses welcome guests as they arrive and seat them at their tables.
Taking reservations:
Hostesses record the names and numbers of guests in the order they arrive, which helps with flow management and reduces disputes.
Assigning seating:
Hostesses escort customers to their tables or the waiting area, and assign guests to the waiting list.
Answering phone calls:
Hostesses take phone calls and answer customer inquiries.
Providing information:
Hostesses provide menu and server information, and communicate with servers about seating arrangements and table times.
Maintaining cleanliness:
Hostesses keep tables, chairs, and dining sets clean and organized.
Helping guests:
Hostesses entertain guests while they're waiting, and ensure that everyone has everything they need throughout their meal.
