The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional guest service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role is vital in creating a positive dining experience and maintaining smooth restaurant operations. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, but we value excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude above all. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions Manage reservations and seating arrangements using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS Handle guest inquiries via phone with professional phone etiquette Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and guest satisfaction Assist with guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously Support the restaurant team during busy periods by managing guest flow effectively Experience Previous Host/Host experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Experience in hospitality, guest services, serving, or hotel operations is advantageous Strong communication skills, including clear speaking and attentive listening Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills are essential Join Sukihana Sushi Restaurant as our Host and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering memorable dining experiences.
