As the first point of contact, you'll set the tone for an exceptional dining or hospitality experience, ensuring guests feel valued and comfortable. Duties Greet guests with a friendly smile and make them feel at home as they arrive. Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS. Maintain a clean, organized host stand and waiting area to ensure a welcoming environment. Communicate effectively with guests regarding wait times, menu suggestions, and special requests. Assist with guest inquiries over the phone, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills. Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of seating and service. Support overall restaurant operations by handling guest concerns promptly and professionally. Requirements Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not mandatory. Strong communication skills to interact clearly and courteously with guests and team members. Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. Experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or hotel environments is advantageous. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude. Excellent guest service skills, including patience, friendliness, and professionalism. Familiarity with serving protocols, guest relations, and phone etiquette is beneficial.
