You will be welcoming guests, seating them in the restaurant, and helping ensure they enjoy an exceptional dining experience. You are a natural people person who can quickly build rapport with guests and create a welcoming atmosphere. Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities, you rely on your excellent organization and communication skills to bring your best each day for yourself, restaurant staff, and guests. Qualifications Restaurant experience preferred, but not necessary Knowledge of basic host service and pleasant attitude Able to stand for long periods Able to lift at least 20 pounds Good hearing for safety and accurate communication Command of the English language Basic computer skills Responsibilities and Duties Report to work in full uniform for each shift and being responsible for clock in/out Perform host stand set-up, opening duties, running side work, and closing duties Positive and uplifting first and last impression to our patrons Communicate and seat guests in an organized, professional, and friendly fashion Accept reservations (when applicable) and quote waiting periods per manager's criteria. Attend all employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement Maintain restaurant safety and sanitation policies Assist in table maintenance when able Work with \"teamwork\" always in mind. Friendly and courteous telephone manners Keep a clean and professional appearance at all times.
