Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Host-Host/Busser and become the welcoming face of our vibrant restaurant! In this energetic role, you will create a warm and inviting atmosphere for our guests, ensuring they feel valued from the moment they arrive. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will help coordinate seating, manage guest flow, and support our service staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your hospitality skills in a lively environment where guest satisfaction is always the top priority. Weekly tips range from $3/hr Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival with genuine enthusiasm and positive energy. Manage reservation lists and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Toast POS. Escort guests to their tables, ensuring a smooth and welcoming seating process. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area to uphold high standards of hygiene and presentation. Assist servers by clearing empty plates, refilling water glasses, and resetting tables promptly to facilitate seamless service. Support restaurant operations during busy hours by managing guest flow and communicating effectively with team members. Handle guest inquiries politely via phone or in person, providing accurate information about menu items or wait times with excellent phone etiquette. Uphold guest relations by addressing concerns professionally and ensuring every guest feels appreciated and comfortable. Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient service delivery, contributing to a lively, hospitable atmosphere that encourages repeat visits. Skills Previous experience as a host/host or in food service is highly preferred; strong restaurant experience is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in managing reservations and orders. Knowledge of hospitality standards, including guest services, serving protocols, and hotel or restaurant experience, is advantageous. Strong organizational skills to manage seating arrangements, waitlists, and table turnovers smoothly. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude. Good phone etiquette for handling reservations, inquiries, and guest concerns effectively. Demonstrated hospitality skills with an emphasis on guest relations, customer service excellence, and teamwork.
