Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Expo to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and smooth flow of service. This role is essential in creating a positive guest experience by providing excellent customer service, managing reservations, and supporting the front-of-house operations in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Prior experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred, along with strong communication skills and a passion for guest relations. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage wait times efficiently Escort guests to their tables and provide menus Manage reservations and seating arrangements using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely service Handle guest inquiries courteously via phone and in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette Assist with guest seating adjustments during busy periods to optimize flow Support serving staff by providing timely updates on table status and guest needs Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area Uphold high standards of hospitality and guest services at all times Qualifications Previous host/host experience or background in food service preferred Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Knowledge of restaurant operations, guest relations, and hospitality best practices Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Professional appearance and demeanor with good phone etiquette Prior hotel or guest services experience is advantageous but not required Join our team to deliver exceptional hospitality experiences while developing your skills in a vibrant, customer-focused setting.
