Job Summary We're on the lookout for a friendly and energetic Host or Host to welcome guests and set the tone for a memorable dining experience. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere and ensuring smooth seating and guest flow. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly as they arrive, making them feel comfortable and valued from the moment they walk in. Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to ensure accurate seating arrangements. Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to optimize table turnover and minimize wait times. Maintain a clean, organized reception area and ensure menus are tidy and available for guests. Provide guests with information about menu options, specials, and restaurant policies with clear communication skills. Handle guest inquiries over the phone with professionalism and courtesy, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Assist in managing guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously to enhance overall guest satisfaction. Support the team during busy hours by helping with basic food service tasks or guest assistance when needed. Uphold health, safety, and sanitation standards to ensure a safe environment for both guests and staff. Qualifications Previous experience as a host or host in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and a friendly attitude are key! Strong communication skills to connect effectively with guests, team members, and management. Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. Knowledge of food service operations, including restaurant procedures and guest services, is highly desirable. Excellent phone etiquette and ability to handle guest inquiries professionally over the phone. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Customer service-oriented mindset with a passion for hospitality and creating positive guest experiences. Previous hotel or restaurant experience can be advantageous but isn't required—what matters most is your welcoming personality!
