Summary kidSTREAM Children's Museum is seeking friendly, reliable, and guest-focused Guest Experience Associates to support front-of-house operations and deliver an exceptional visitor experience. This role is essential to creating a safe, welcoming, and joyful environment for children, families, members, and community partners. Reporting to the Guest Services Manager, Guest Experience Associates support daily admissions operations, guest flow, and overall museum readiness. This role interacts directly with guests at all touchpoints, ensuring consistent service standards and a positive experience from arrival to departure. The ideal candidate is approachable, proactive, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, family-centered environment. Responsibilities Guest Experience & Front-of-House Support (40%) Welcome guests and provide a positive, engaging first impression Support admissions operations including ticketing, check-in, and general inquiries Provide clear directions, information about exhibits, and daily programming highlights Ensure consistent, high-quality guest service across all interactions Proactively engage with guests to enhance their overall experience Operations & Floor Support (30%) Maintain clean, organized, and safe public spaces Support guest flow throughout the museum and assist with crowd management during busy periods Assist with opening and closing procedures as assigned Support basic retail and point-of-sale transactions Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations Guest Support & Safety (20%) Respond to guest questions and concerns in a professional and timely manner Support safety procedures including lost child protocols (Code Adam), minor injuries, and incident response under supervision Help ensure compliance with guest conduct and safety policies Team Collaboration & Training (10%) Participate in onboarding, training, and team meetings Support a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team environment Work closely with Guest Services staff, Education team, and volunteers
Requirements:
Qualifications Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in guest services, retail, hospitality, or customer-facing roles Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment Experience working with children and families preferred Ability to work weekends, holidays, and variable schedules Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check required Ability to stand, walk, and actively engage with guests for extended periods Preferred Skills Experience in museums, attractions, hospitality, or family-focused environments Familiarity with POS or ticketing systems Comfort interacting with diverse audiences Spanish-language skills are a plus Ability to lift, move, and stock materials up to 30 pounds Our Culture & Benefits At kidSTREAM, we believe in the power of play to transform lives.
