Friedman, M.D., Inc. Allergy, Asthma, and Clinical Immunology Immediate need for a full-time medical assistant. Medical Assistant certificate or diploma is required. Local applicants only. We are a medical practice seeking an experienced, dependable, high energy, and dedicated individual medical assistant for our offices in Fountain Valley and Irvine. We pride ourselves on excellent patient care and service. We are seeking candidates who have exceptional customer service skills to greet and assist our patients. Applicant must be professional, responsible, computer literate, and a team player. This position requires travel three days a week between our two offices.
Qualifications:
Medical Assistant certificate or diploma is required. Medical back and office experience is a must. Pleasant and positive attitude. Ability to multi-task and work courteously and respectfully with fellow employees, and patients. Excellent computer skills. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Managing office telephone systems, including answering calls and returning messages. Scheduling patient appointments and maintaining communication to confirm future appointments and collecting patient payment. Documenting patients' medical information, including medical history and health insurance information. Process and organize patient paperwork and medical charts. Greeting patients and checking patients in and out for their appointments. Assist with insurance verification. Assist with HMO procedure authorization requests and documentation. Demonstrates flexibility with work assignments, including floating to our other medical office. Allergy skin testing. Allergy immunotherapy injections.
Preferred:
Experience administering injections.
